Today is the birthday of Fred Korematsu, a Japanese American who challenged the racist executive order that sent Japanese Americans to internment camps. Even though he fought all the way to the Supreme Court, he lost. His conviction was overturned decades later, and January 30th is recognized in Virginia and California as Fred Korematsu Day.
**the case has never actually been overturned, although the US government issued an official apology for the treatment of Japanese-Americans during WWII. remember this. there is precedent.

- The missile test occurred as Trump and Abe dined in the members’ dining area at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago golf resort.

- He also took and posted photos with the Secret Service agent assigned to carry the president’s nuclear codes (now deleted) and another with Steve Bannon.
- In one particularly stunning photo DeAgazio posted, aides lit up documents for the president and the Japanese prime minister to read with their camera phones. Read more (2/13/17 3:22 PM)
